How confident are you in that 1-1/8inch measurement? Is your trans sitting perfectly level? Do you know the length by chance from where it mounts to engine to center hole of trans mount? Im just going to cut mine and go from there if it needs adjustment.

100% sure it's supposed to be 1-1/16", but we're just splitting hairs now.

Hard to say. There's not a great reference point to judge level from. It's pretty level though and I have 125k miles since my conversion so it's not causing any fluid issues yet.

    Not sure what you're asking.

It’s pretty much the same as your stock truck. I can see from the way I modded the cross member that all I did was move the center section down 1-1/6”. It lined up front/back with the rest of the crossmember, just lower.

Just picked up this. From a 3rd gen. Has a lower 1st gear than the 2nd gen. Only 16k miles on it.

5-speed. Basically the same as the 2nd 2.7 manual but with a lower 1st gear (4.33 vs 3.95).

I can check later this evening, but the stick is removable without needing to do this.. one little c-clip and it pops out. But sounds like you want to relocate it, so I can definitely break out the calipers later

What part of the shifter do you want the measurement on? The smaller part that comes out of the t-case right below the upper section?

Thanks I need the thick sections so right when it comes off tcase and right before it meets the plastic piece.

I’m modifying my shifter so it will sit in the coin tray.
