OK, I promptly forgot about my crappy plastic red "can" after seeing THOSE. The 5 gallon black is out of stock but I did add my name to the mailing list - reminds me of @MESO toys!

Considering that I have been lucky getting his stuff (I have it ALL except for his LED taillights) hopefully I'll be lucky again!

Since I'd be remiss in NOT saying this to you @RyanDCLB : "Nice jugs!"

Thanks! I'll be labeling my jugs so nobody gets confused! ;)

I'll be doing the Scepter Water Can Mod found here. (It looks like the 2.5 gallon water cans are sold out at the moment)

maybe U would Never fall victim to a mistake

    yet

    some well intentioned person might

use a can that they would usually / normally pour wrongfully

making a huge dangerous irreparable mistake

I would say compared to a Wavian you would lose out on quality. If you used both this can and a Wavian heavily side by side, this can would start to see wear and tear to eventual failure before the Wavian would. I have no idea how long this can you linked would take till the welds started to pop or the can started to show significant signs of rust, maybe 5-10 years (just a rough guesstimate) but people who received Wavian cans from their grandfather just now started to see signs it was time to purchase another one. If you YouTube Wavian the rigorous testing that is done on them is quite impressive. You are paying the extra money for the quality.

I contacted Wavian and they said the black cans may be back next month. I ordered two black Wavian cans from Grainger and even though the price was the same, the shipping was a bit costly. The two reds I just ordered from Swiss Link already got shipped with free shipping. Wavian can’t make these things fast enough. People getting ready for whatever else 2020 has in store for us.

Mine just came in today - super high quality. No clue on how the spouts will actually be but will update when I use them.

OP - check out a galvanized steel option by Justrite.

These are pretty high quality. Bought two of them, then built a rack that mounts and locks to the bed of the truck. Honestly, not the "Cool off road shit!" that everyone's running, but I fucking hate plastic shit. These gas off and pour better than most out there, and they're made the fuckin' US of A. I love mine.

I installed my bumper the other day and my red Wavian cans were the only ones delivered. The black ones are still on back order. Those will only be for mall crawling status

Black cans were like @MESO stuff. Got the email that they were available to order, and by the time I was able to get to the site to get mine (about 20 mins later) they were gone, gone, gone... better luck next time...

I just ordered 2 black ones from Swisslink.com That’s where I got my red ones when no one else had them available. I’ll know tomorrow if they get shipped or not. I know purchasing them is not an option if they don’t have them in stock so we’ll see.

Used my cans for the first time today. One of the spouts was absolute garbage and leaked profusely where the plastic safety piece meets the metal. The other safety spout worked like a charm and vented pretty well. I’ll probably end up ordering the longer metal spout anyway as I can’t fully tilt the can due to the angle of the spout and filler neck in my truck.

They can be any color but need a neck collar with red band for gas or yellow for diesel. I have Specter Army fuel cans in Army Green that have a red collar...btw, these are the best...they also make ones for water...20200908_071748.jpg
