Really digging this set up, almost have the camp load out perfected. As easy as it is to reach in from the sides I'm still kind of pining for a bed slide.

I couldn't tell you to be honest. I don't know how high the victory rack sits off the roof and I don't know anything about that RTT.

Wicked nice score. Just saw Softopper had some Toyota M84 models in the sale/demo section for $549.

Any pictures of a grey one on a 1st or 2nd Gen? I've been scrolling forever and can't seem to find one.

Nice, that would be great! I guess I can't go wrong with black but my 1st Gen is silver so I thought a grey top might look cool.

I was planning on shortening the rack, but it’s the perfect height to allow the topper to fold so I think I will leave it. It was much easier to fold the topper up to pack for our camping trip so I didn’t have to climb all the way to the front of the bed, then fold it back down to keep our gear covered.

Of course for the lighter stuff I can always send my assistant in.

I have the Mesh screen rear window. Works great and definitely cuts the heat down in the summer from the standard window.

As for rain coming in thru the screen.. I have never checked the bed, but will say, I have never seen water come out of the bed with it in. Next good rain sitting or a drive in it. I will update this post with a pic.

    Edit:

Pix are from a thunderstorm with a heavy down pour and some wind. Truck was sitting at the house while it happened.

Some water did make it in, but no pooling of said water. If anything.... a mist like wet.

Pix added to the above post.

Also need to pull and raise the rear screen so the Velcro doesn't show. Kinda threw it in and left it.

i installed my topper over 2.5 years ago. I have had no real issues other then the rear flap coming undone causing bars to bend. This issue was resolved by putting velcro on the tailgate to secure it. I did have (1) tiny pinhole that leaked. I purchased a box of tear aid and patched it up without any issues. My topper has been pretty much leak free and all items in my bed including my camping platform have remained dry. One thing I did notice is the sides of the topper and top have knicks in them from road debris but nothing that would cause the topper to tear or cause issues. Overall I am very satisfied and plan on going this route again on my future taco

Joshua Tree national park. Softopper held up great in the heat and still allowed airflow when I slept in it. I love it!

So excited to have installed my new topper this week. Wired up a 3rd brake light with a quick disconnect. Brake light is mounted to a small steel bar with rare earth magnets on the inside of the topper so, nothing permanent. Also wired and installed led lights underneath the bed rails. I didn't want to add the velcro to my tailgate so I added velcro to a magnetic strip and attached to the velcro on the inside of the back window. The magnet is not very strong, but holds it to the tailgate.

Interested in the third brake light install. I purchased a few of the parts needed but have yet to install them. How was the wiring for it?

It was really easy, but I wired it only for the break light (I didn't care about running lights, reverse, turn signal). Tapped in to the drivers side tail light.

Thanks, that's all I would be looking to do as well, just as brake light. Still a newb when it comes to electrical wiring.

You guys finally talked me into it. Ordered on Wednesday and showed up today! Will probably spend some time adjusting to get the fit just right.
