Interesting that there isnt more chatter in here.


Lots of changes and oddities abound.

 

My personal opinion is that it’s all still too unknown to even discuss lol. The season is changing on a weekly basis so no real sense wasting effort talking about it...

but also screw notre dame.

 

Don't want to scare away the possibility of having games

 

I'm not sure that's a valid excuse, considering the season changes week to week under normal circumstances and we chat about that for months on end.

Yes, Notre Dame can get bent.

Maybe ND should be required to play the top two out of each conference.


Go ahead and get out in front of their hype this year by giving them a couple early losses.

So Notre Dame will be Clemson’s marquee win this year, which will make sure the ACC still makes the playoffs. The ACC will still be a cakewalk for Clemson, with or without ND. Maybe upstart UNC can give them a scare?

If the playoff still happens, what conference gets left out? I’ll assume the pac12 since they have 400 players threatening to sit out...and it’s the PAC12 and they’re irrelevant anyway.

 

UNC may give Clemson a scare. Might even take the next step but it's hard to tell right now. Pac-12 finds a way out of the playoff each year and I don't expect this year to be any different.

The only way UNC or any other ACC team gives Clemson a scare is if half of Clemson's starters are out of the game with C-19. UNC might scare them in a couple years once Clemson's current QB is playing in the NFL, but they have another highly rated guy behind him...

Clemson won't be at the top of the ACC forever...

Arkansas now has to play the #3,4,5,8, 11 and 13 team in the preseason coach’s poll.

But honestly it sucks, wish we had football, but I don’t want altered football...so I’d rather it be cancelled.

So it would be SEC + whoever else decides they want to play? Wonder how that would work.

 

Pretty clear the Pac-12 and Big-10 know there is no way they can win the national championship this year, so it will be a playoff with the SEC, ACC and Big-12 representatives.

The last man (team) standing wins it all!

Can you imagine the TV ratings those three conference are going to pull this fall? Will be off the chart.

 

I may be alone in this opinion, but I don't want an altered football season. I'd rather have no football.
