    Nite and day from stock. On road thing handles like sports car and gives you confidence taking corners that truck will stick it. Rolling hills are hard to explain but smooth transition you feel suspension soak it up. Off road another level big whoops you have to slow down for small whoops and washboard soaks then up and handles amazing wish my buddy would of took video of me on track I made around camp was epic truck is so much fun. Can just point and go.

    Awesome! I have a similar setup but with Fox shocks. My only problem now is when I load up the bed with camping gear I get too much rear sag and I’m riding around nose up. Not an ideal situation for visibility of obstacles haha. So I’m looking to upgrade the stock leaf pack soon. Have you thought about upgrading your leaf springs at all?

    Yes and at a cross roads due to still wanting to be able to tow and have flex when not will say drove from anthem Arizona to ocotillo wells last weekend loaded with my 450 a buddy’s 250 2 smoker and camping gear and riding gear truck handled all pretty well didn’t hit bump stops once. Now my issue is don’t know what leaf pack to get really wanted total chaos stock location SUA setup but they said even with HD pack still don’t recommend towing. Plus I don’t want bags in rear because I’d rather have air bumps. So I am in same boat on leafs. Done a lot of digging on a couple fourums and every body says don’t do that your want more but my plan is to keep all stock width up front and as lil lift as possible not looking to jack my truck up. And all the HD packs lift almost 2 1/2 -3” and I at max only want maybe 1” to 1 1/2”. And everybody says stay away from Deaver j66 can’t find much info on Deaver j59. So can’t be much help with rear because I’m in same boat don’t know what I want.

    That’s the hard part about leaf springs... You can’t have your cake and eat it too. I guess you have to prioritize what’s most important to you and go with a setup that will suit those needs, possibly at the expense of capability in other areas.

    My problem is that I have huge fluctuations in weight. Most of the time I’m riding around with an empty bed driving over potholes in LA, in which case I’m happy to have the soft stock leaf springs. But when I load up for camping trips once a month or so I’m riding nose up and I hate how it handles when it’s like that.

    I’m thinking of running the Icon add-a-leaf pack to give me a little more height in the rear and slightly higher spring rate for when I load up. But hopefully not so stiff that the ride will be harsh when unloaded. I’ll also leave myself about an inch of rake so that when I do load up the truck levels out.

    That’s the point I’m at too thinking of going with either headstrong or Deaver add a leaf and keep my overload in. And see how that rides if I don’t like it i can then throw full leafs at it and get custom pack from Deaver or Alcan. I hear ya on all the can’t get both gotta compromise which does suck. Let me know if you like the icon pack if you go with it I won’t be making a decision on mine for couple months for now rides good and happy where I’m at. More than likely be doing air bumps before springs.
