    Hey Aaron,

I am new here! Finally not lurking and made an account just to get this bracket. I have a 2015 Tacoma with a BPF skid plate. Which one am I going to need?

Welcome Tim! Swing by the new members area and start a thread that introduces yourself and your Tacoma.

You will need the LM-1215. It has been used numerous times with the BPF skid plate and works great. I will start a conversation shortly and give you all the necessary details.

Hi Dan! Welcome to Tacoma World. You should swing by the Maine thread and introduce yourself. Unfortunately I am at work right now and have plans for the afternoon. I am heading to the Waterville area tomorrow for my niece's softball tournament so we might be able to work something out that way. We will be heading up pretty early in the morning for an 8am game but will be up there pretty much all day long. I will start a conversation and we can chat about the details and I am certain we can figure something out. With an 05, you will need the LM-0511 version.

Hello! Long time lurker that recently moved from a no-front-plate state to a mount your tag or else state. Found your product through a Google search and am very interested in picking one up. Love the fact that this community has existed as long as it has and that there are still folks out there doing stuff like this. It's really cool...

I'll send a PM here in sec. Just wanted to post and say thanks!

Has anyone tried these on a 2nd Gen 2010 with a Westin Bull Bar on the front? Any idea if the plate mount would work with the bull bar?

@ACEkraut - do you know if your mounts would work with the bar?

    Thanks

Yes. It has been done before. I worked with a customer with the customer sending me pictures and from the pictures I modified the height of one of the normal brackets to have the plate hang a little lower below the bull bar so it was visible. Our collaboration worked pretty slick as when he received and installed the bracket it fit exactly where he wanted so he could keep the bull bar and the license plate could be seen and was not blocked by the bull bar. If this is something you would like to explore then we can begin a conversation and see if it is possible for me to help you out.

Sounds good. That customer had posted in the sale thread but my quick looking was unable to locate where the pictures were. If I can find them then I will send another message with a link to the pictures.

OK, found the post. Here it is:

FS-2nd Gen Low Mount/No Drill License Plate Bracket-$35 Shipped

Tim is a good guy and active on TW. You can probably ask for clearer pictures if you want. From the angle that the picture was taken you can just see all of the plate but because the shot is taken from up high and close to the truck it doesn't show up as well as if you were farther away and lower like you would be if you were sitting in another car. Yell if you have any questions.

Busy day. I will send you a message shortly.

For anyone following the conversation in this thread, the short answer is that the normal mounting location should be right where you want the plate. There should be two slight dimples and behind the bumper cover a couple captive nuts. Alternatively, I can make a bracket that can hold the plate pretty close to where you show you would like it to be.
