I had a 2016 SR5 for about a week before I got the 2020 SR 4x4. I did notice the seat was a bit more comfortable in the 2020 compared to the 2016.

The 2016 had over 52K on the clock 3 prior owners so maybe the seat was a bit to broken in, but the 2020 seat seems to be more supportive and has a better bolster in the back.

    /shrug. It's a truck I went from a Mercedes E350 to a SR 4X4 and I am not complaining lol.

My neck would bend more in an accident with it in the factory position, because theres such a large awkward gap between the top of my shoulders & neck, and the contact point of the headrest. With it backwards, /my/ neck and head lay fully against the headrest. There’s /no/ movement, and therefore no whiplash, which i’ve had the displeasure of experiencing.
/Your/ body and /your/ posture may make that different.
Do of course appreciate the concern, and i’m sure for some people the massive space caused by flipping the headrests /would/ be a safety hazard

I cut these spacers out and used them to raise the rear of the drivers seat. The seat being a little flatter takes pressure off my hamstrings. Way better for me.

Did you have stock leather seats originally?

I concur, so many vehicles in the 19th century came standard with heighth adjustment. Yet I would prefer the old mechanical style seat adjustment instead of electric. Power seats are so friggin heavy.

Great thanks for that!! I’m wondering if 1.25” is too much, I’ll have to mock it up or something.

Yep, just go down to Ace and get some washers. Find your perfect fit. Then you can buy the bolts and spacers.

When you first sit in the truck after install it seems a little high but after one ride I didn't even notice it, like it was always that way.

Interesting, as I just took a 6-hour road trip in my '18 TRD Sport Premium today and was thinking how comfortable the ride and seats were for a 4X4 truck that's generally more known for it's off-road capabilities.

Is that the rear of the seat?
I can easily see washers working at the rear but not for the front.
Also the track looks like it's welded to the front leg.

I'm 6'3" 215~lbs and I just installed the Desert Does It Seat Jackers on both seats
I did a 600 mile road trip and was fairly comfortable with the stock set up but my wife was complaining about the leg support as a passenger. So I ordered up a set of spacers to give it a go.
Off the bat I noticed way more support under your legs, it does feel a bit weird because you are tilted back more now. And after only 50 miles of driving I have no complaints but for me it didn't feel like a monster improvement on comfortability. I have no issues clearing the steering wheel getting in and out, I can still operate the clutch fine (though it has a bit different feel now, so I need to relearn some muscle memory). My favorite thing though is the Multi Mount Panels that match up with the Jackers. I like having my knife and first aid kit out for easy access and on the passenger side I have a nice little storage bag.

The real test of comfort will be the next road trip in December.

I just got mine from desertdoesit, installed them and went on a long ride. Im 6'0 and 175lbs. 1.25 IMO is perfect, gives your legs the support for more comfort. I bought the set for both seats and while it wasnt cheap, totally worth the investment...

Great to hear, that's my stats too, 32" inseam.
For me it just feels like the seat is tilted forward. It doesn't help that I'm constantly switching between my work truck with a power seat.

Anyone find that the stops on the front to back adjustment are really wide?

For me I buy what I like and don’t complain about. Respect I have a ton of it. Been through a lot in my life. Test drive yes did that. Been Wanting a tacoma since I had my 1991. Also to me whats going on in this world. I think we are pretty fortunate. So to answer you. Yes I think it’s funny people complain about a seat.

My wife's Mazda I can drive for 2 hours straight with no discomfort but for 6 hours plus it gets tiring and at hour 18 straight it's down right painful.

There is no way to know how you will like something until you push it to the limit.

So what's wrong with finding a problem and trying to fix it.

Edit: How many people change their tires, or suspension parts, or lights, or radio, or engine tune just because it works ok at first but after you live with it you find aspects of them that bug you and you want to improve it.

What's the difference between lifting your truck and changing the seat? Are the threads about people asking about which lift to buy "hilarious?"
It didn't preform how you want from factory so you changed it. The aftermarket world exists because factory vehicles are never 100% exactly what someone wants/needs.

I honestly don't care, but it just doesn't make sense since this forum is 90% just about changing things on your truck.

So in conclusion, in a post asking about fixing a problem you decided to not help but just make fun of the OP?
A decent person would have just realized they have no experience with OPs problem and just not even bothered to open the post.

PS, one thing I do like about this forum is the option to ignore users.
    Goodbye
