No re-gear, it isn’t really that much of a change. Could have maybe used it on my 4Runner though but it was tolerable.

255/80 on 17x8.5 w/ 1-1/4" spacers. Didn't rub before the spacers but had to CMC in the end.

This is the exact setup I'm looking to go to. Still liking the falkens? Found four tires for 750$ shipped and I'm about to pull the trigger.

sorry for the delay dont get on the computer much. yeah i love them. tires are great do minimal off roading and have never failed to get out of where i was. but when im at full turn i do hear a stress noise probably the ball joints but i dont know for certain. one of those things ill just deal with it when i deal with it. but as far as tires and level kit the look is great and the tires are phenomenal.

So if I go with this size on a 17x8.5 (which it sounds like is the max rim width for this tire) would it be more likely to pop off the bead when aired down since it’s at the max rim width?

There are arguments that is better off road especially in wet mud. Also the narrower tread is better for gas mileage as opposed to the same diameter tire but wider.

I ran into some mud tonight. The 255/85r16 Dick Cepek extreme country tires impressed me

Not stock. But from my understanding they should fit on stock suspension. Don’t quote me on that though.

Quick question so these technically are taller than say a 285-70-17 why is that most people don’t get much rubbing with this size if any and more rubbing with the 285. Is the width of the tires giving them the issues? Thanks
