So, just investigating some of the apps in the system, I clicked on the maintenance app.

I assumed it would be filled with reminders and notices and such, however... each category appears empty.

So..., what's the scoop? Isn't this the app that pops up little reminders for oil changes, air filters changes, and such? Where does it get it's info? I would think the factory/dealer should have programmed stuff in?

You enter it in. I think I'll just keep scratching em in the back page of the manual.

If you login to your owners page at toyota.com it will list all the service the dealer has performed on your vehicle and will recommend upcoming service based on your mileage. You can also input any maintenance that you do yourself or had done at a non Toyota service center. The service the dealer does is recorded based on your VIN so that information will transfer to the new owner if you sell your truck. Unfortunately any service you do doesn't get transferred but it's easy enough to print or download your full service history to give to the buyer. I don't use the Entune maintenance app, not sure why they don't also have it tied into your service history on toyota.com.

So, if I understand correctly, it is for tracking service that I might perform outside of the dealership.

I was under the impression the app should contain all the upcoming service recommendations and this is what initiated the reminders.

I have entered the "distance" value after changing my oil, but the "remaining" value never seems to count down. It's still exactly the same as the "distance" value I put in 500 miles ago. What am I missing?
