Bakflip Revolver X4 not sitting flush with Voodoo bed rack

2019 Tacoma short bed

I have the Voodoo bed racks for the Bakflip covers, and they shift my Bakflip revolver over so one side does not sit flush with the rail. This leaves a small gap for some water to pass through, and one side of the cover does not clip in at the end. Is anyone else having this issue or a resolution?
I've tried pretty much everything I can think of aside from pulling the whole thing off and putting back on because it was a real pain to get it all together. I have the mounted rails relocated and everything for the Bakflip is correct, it was flush on before adding the Voodoo racks.

I will say, I do love the look and feel of the brackets, Voodoo made a real solid product, and so did Bakflip.

 

Appreciate the post, subbing to keep an eye out since I was planning to get the same mounts for my bakflip. Hopefully you can find a resolution.

 

I spoke with the team and they said it's just part of the deal. It makes sense with these style covers, it doesn't look like there would be a way around this happening. It still clips in on one side, and the part that doesn't clip in isn't that noticeable.

 

I have a Access Vanish soft Tonneau and it does this ever so slightly at the top right corner. Any modifications you can do to the cover to get it to sit better?

 

We looked for a year to find the right bed cover/bed rack combo. None of the brackets/adapters seemed to provide the right fit. Probably something you are going to have to deal with. We ended up going with the retrax bed cover and yakima overhaul hd to get the end result we wanted

 

@Leafygreens Looks exactly like the problem I had installing my BakFlip + Voodoo. I private messaged a fellow TW'er and even contacted Voodoo but neither had any "ah ha" moments for me. In the end, after loosening and re-tightening all the bolts that held the cover to the bed and making sure to tighten a little extra, I was able to pop things into place. It just took a bit more effort than I'd like. Attached is what mine looked like before I got it installed fully. Thanks for letting me know. I think we have different covers or mounts. I played with the bolts for a couple hours, and there just doesn't seem to be a way to get mine flush.

 

How do you like the Revolver X4, besides the compatibility with the Voodoo rack?

I'm going to order one to go with the RCI Bed Rack.

 

It works really well and is pretty durable, I like it a lot
