There was a member who was making them. I believe it was atthehelm
I went with his over over TC. They looked like they would provide more support was my reasoning.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Bottle Opener is a plus. Also they don’t interfere with some drawers system...not that your BroLanding!

I’ve yet to see conclusive evidence to convince me they’re necessary. Going on 11 yrs now with fiberglass Tacoma beds and toppers and have not seen a need personally.

All that said, they all seem to be pretty much the same. ‘Best’ might be a stretch.

Just pick whichever $100+ tie down points and bottle opener configuration tickles your fancy.

Thanks ... hah I’m not even kool enough to know wth brolanding is :rofl:but I am looking at a sleeping platform for the camper with some drawers but I’m thinking I’ll keep it super simple and easy to take out when I need the bed. I do like those appreciate the link.

I hear ya and good points. I’m not sure I need them I probably can get away without them. I am thinking of when I load down the top of the camper rack with a big load? Possibly also if I find a RTT I like/can afford.

Here’s a link for the ones I have. I was mistaken in my earlier post. The TC go up higher and some felt they gave better support. I opted for this brand bc of price point and I knew it would work with the bed platform I had at the time.
Does it help. I don’t know. I considered it cheap insurance that gave me tie down points and bottle openers I will never use.

    Is your bed splitting?

They're a waste of money. It's a solution to a problem that exists in 0.01% of tacos.

I have a high-rise top with a rack and toolbox full of crap and never felt the need for them. I'd spend the money elsewhere. Unless it makes you happy to spend them on them - it's just money after all. ;)

I went with Rago stiffeners. Really happy with them! Great company to work with, quick shipping, and veteran owned. great. Plus you can sometimes find blems on sale or find a 5-10% off coupon codes. I liked the fact that they didn’t go up as high as some of the others and are lower profile.

My truck has had a camper on it for the past 4 1/2 years and I regularly carry 2 heavy kayaks or a heavy canoe up there and there were definitely some wider gaps at top of the tailgate and bedsides. Figured for ~ $100, it was worth the piece of mind!

I have ATH ones too. I have a topper and did notice the gap on the side of my tail gate starting to noticeably widen towards the top. I don't know if it was like that before the shell but it is definitely much wider at the top than the botton on one side. I used my dads tacoma to to compare as he's had his since 08 and never had a shell. His gap on either side is very small and uniform through out. After getting the ATH ones and installing, i haven't seen the gap increase. That's not to say it would have anyways so who knows. I will say after seeing the TC ones that go all the way up and examining where the bed actually starts to split, I would go with TC if I had to do it again. They are inexpensive mods relative to most vehicle mods. Plus the provide more tie down points which is mostly what I use mine for. I strung a cargo net across mine so I can just lift my hatch and put stuff between the net and tailgate and not worry about it moving around.

Edit. Added pics of the gap. You can see it increase from the bottom to the top. My dad's tailgate didn't have that gap.

It's my understanding that beer is hard to find? You might want to consider selling it on Georgia Classifieds or just keep it and drink it? :notsure:

Is beer hard to find or just white claws?
If it is hard to find I got a good amount. Anyone wanna trade me for some ammo haha. I want your ammo at pre covid prices while I value my beer at 10x it's original value. That's how it works right?

I have the ATH ones. I found them on Facebook Marketplace for $50 new. I'll keep an eye out for you. They actually do come up time to time. I think they're worthwhile for peace of mind and tie down points. Bottle opener is always met with grunts and nods of approval.

I like that tray. Good use of vertical space as long as you are loading tall/long items often. I recently re-positioned a little Rigid tool box to the passenger rear bedside rather than against the cab to allow more bed length. Damn short bed.

How do you have the cargo net attached to the ceiling? I'd like to emulate that for some light weight items.

Yeah man short bed life is tough when you need the space. The only time the shelf has been a bother so far was when I got a new Willow Tree. The bucket couldn't clear the shelf.

I really like the KB Voodoo shelf. Got it here on the classified section.

I connected the net by using the eye bolts that came with the Prinsu racks. That and lil carabiners. It has been nice for the kids on trips. We put paper towels, jackets and crap up there.
