    I feel pretty confident that nobody else has my setup, but I love it.
    My phone has wireless charging so the mount had to have that. Had to be pretty beefy, as lots of mount look pretty chinsey.

    I bought this mount for my motorcycle and loved it so much that I decided I needed to see if I could install in my truck.

    I have a Techdeck installed under my stereo, that I like to have the phone mounted on because of the location. Unfortunately this motorcycle mount is set up to clamp onto a handlebar. There is a extra piece that comes with it that can be bolted to a motorcycle's mirror stems. I felt that was the best rout for me to take. Unfortunately the holes for the techdeck are to small to put the right size bolt through, so I had to drill a larger hole in the techdeck. I them put a bolt through the included adapter and attached the phone mount.

    (the loose wire is for my work headphones, I just store them behind the mount.)

    I really like the mount as its super solid. When putting the phone n the mount, as the tiny dot in the center gets pressed by the phone, the corner supports snap close and hold the phone tightly(tight enough that I trust it as I drive my motorcycle). To open it, just squeeze the tabs on the side of the phone and it opens easily.

    They mount came with a 6-8' wire that ran into the engine bay to my auxiliary fuse panel. I set it up as always on so the phone can charge when the truck is turned off.

    Do you have a link to that one? I bought one that slid into the CD player, but it was total junk. That one looks much better.

    Thanks.

    Minor stuff.
    I have a ProClip iPhone holder with a RAM base screwed directly into the center console and I run the USB wire u der the console to the USB plug. Works for me, out of the way and works with CarPlay. And it’s very easy to get to the phone if I needed to.

    Here's what I'm dealing with. I don't really want anything with a long arm (want to keep it as inconspicuous as possible). I'm now using the Wizgear vent magnetic mount and it works great. But with fall/winter approaching, I don't want the heat blasting directly on the phone (can't close the vent with the mount attached).

    I originally had a vent mount holder but had to ditch it because of the heat overheating the phone come winter.
    My solution was to install a Tech-deck under the stereo. I then just attached the vent clip to the metal lip. I have since switched to a different non-vent style mount, but still use the tech-deck. Its got. Great location soni can use the GPS very easy while driving, but doesn't block my dash at all.

    It looks like where I mounted mine is not going to work for you unfortunately because of the slight interior differences between the 2005-2011 and 12-15 Tacomas. :(
    Here is where I have mine mounted:

    @Sig45

    The open area on your radio by the CD eject button may work. The adhesive used for the mount of the Mod mount is extremely strong.

    Hmmmmm...that is my preferred location.

    That surface is pretty slick/glossy and textured.
