It’s not just one. The iron horse and contra costa trails are super close to the Pleasanton BART station so a lot of commuters use it and the prevalence of e-bikes and the trail makes it super easy for commuters. The fact the trails are non motorized and people not giving a shit drove me nuts.

I wish I could get a gas powered one, but I'm pretty sure you can't ride those (legally) on the bike/walking path along the beach.

Yours didn't have the PIN to start it? I can start mine without a FOB.

I have a spare key on my dog tags. Hold it up against a certain part of the bike and it’ll start and run

I get it. But that same issue applies for too many things in life. There's just always assholes who think they're better than everyone else or don't have to follow the rules and that's why we can't have nice things. I hate those same type of people that do shit like that. There's a lot of people now down here I've been seeing with those electric skateboards and not one of them are responsible on them, they just fly by at max speed right next to people and every time I see one I hope I get to see them catch a rock and eat shit

Funny enough, I have a YEARS old goped in my garage that I just took the motor and gas tank off of a couple weeks back. All the tubing was rotted to shit and broke. I was thinking I'd try and clean the motor up and get my beach cruiser turned into one, but that's way more work than I am capable of doing lol.

I think that’s the hang up. Motorized to me means anything mechanically driven but e bike owners feel since it’s electric, it’s exempt.

I’ve read there are some pilot programs to allow electric bikes on regional trails but they are still limited to 15mph (which is rarely followed)

    No pin on mine.

I have the fob and this guy. There’s a spot on the bike I can old it to and press the start button to turn the bike on.

They have different classifications of ebikes already and where each are allowed. I'm sure as they're becoming more and more popular, there will certainly be more and more regulations on where you can ride them. I've seen a few hiking/single track trails near me that have signs saying no e-bikes, and of course there's a few asshats who still take them on those trails, but for the most part there's not a lot of them (so far).

Harbor freight knockoff pelican? Drill some holes through the bottom and attach how you have the crate attached? You could even lock it then.. I sometimes just run with a small cargo net on the passenger seat of the BMW, works great for a six pack and a bag of groceries. $10
