Hey everyone. 2016 with a dead vehicle battery (only sat for less than 2 weeks, so another separate issue causing the battery to drain so quick). Battery is so drained that truck isn't responding to the key fobs, and the manual lock in the door doesn't function.

    So far my ideas are
    1) find a way to pop the hood from outside, which thus far I've been unsuccessful
    2) get power to the starter to hopefully provide enough juice for the key fobs to work so I can unlock the doors

Anyone have any thoughts/recommendations? I pulled the driver's side splash guard, but not sure I have enough access/can't see the positive connection to the starter.

How long has your door lock been broken?

I swear I remember reading another post from a guy in a similar situation, and that was the way he eventually
got back in to the truck. I've tried to find the post, but I'm not having any luck. Will update if I find it.

    Edit:

Never mind. I found the post. He got lucky and eventually discovered that one of his doors was actually open, but here was some of his ideas to get power to the truck:

Power to the starter is the easiest way to get back into the truck. Jumper cable and a battery should be all you need.
