Viair 450C is what I've had after my 88P took a shit (it really doesn't like more than car tires). Not as fast as the dual ARB but much cheaper and since it can run an hour straight, it still gets the job done for multiple vehicles. Only reason I'm replacing it is it takes forever with 35's but it'll be a good backup for my new powertank setup.

If I were doing it again, I'd do a twin 485C Gen 2 hard mounted.

I have 2 of the Masterflo MF-1050’s. 1 in the heep and the other at the house.

Originally bought the one to use on the trail (stays in the jeep) till something else better came along. Slow but works. Then picked up another for the house, for the rest of the vehicles.

it does the job. The bag isn’t wort a damn tho.

edit: had them both for a good 10+ years.

Thanks y’all! Kinda kicking myself that I didn’t spend more initially, but I think Amazon is gonna work with me so that’s good.

Anyway, greetings from the Outer Banks!11DA5409-559F-4F30-AA15-9F769B2B2EA0.jpg

I wasn't working on it yesterday. Yesterday was a brew day. My registration will expire soon if I don't pass an inspection so I'm leaning towards potentially having a shop look at it. Do my drums and pads and get my e-brake working. Unless someone has a better suggestion.

My rear brakes have never worked right since I first did them. Fucking full conversion worked first time no issues but brakes don't. Lmao

Where do you typically go? We’ve a house in Colington but my gf turned me onto Frisco (where we are as I type lol). We also usually go around Memorial Day but alas,
    COVID.

May hit up Corolla next week since I won’t need a permit for parking/driving on the beach.

I was in corolla all week, my first time there actually. It’s nice and a good time since I think the permit goes away after tomorrow, right? We only drove on the beach, didn’t stop since we needed the permit and I was the only one out of like 9 people with a 4x4 haha. I wasn’t about to shuttle people. We were less than a mile from the entrance to the 4x4 beach, I’m a fan of the area.

Yeah after tomorrow no permit needed. We have another “Jeep” here—a newer Cherokee—that couldn’t make it through the soft sand yesterday, so I’m basically a taxi now lol. Got to use those maxtrax, which was fun!

Highly recommend Ramp 49 in Frisco. Air up station literally across from the entrance to the ramp.

Other than a lack of food options, Frisco is great. Can’t really go wrong with either. I may be down again next month, schedule permitting. Good luck!!

Yeah my friend with a Mazda suv asked if Awd would be okay, I was like I’ll help you get out if you get stuck haha.

might have to check out Frisco depending on where I’m at next time. I try to avoid being the planner for these trips haha

Extremely same. My gf and her friend take those duties and I’m just here to follow (or drive) and drink lol.

Cherokee seemed like it was gonna be fine but it was just too soft for those tires and lack of clearance. She has no problems driving it in DE, but down here is a different beast apparently.

There were definitely rav4s and other vehicles like that out there which seemed to be fine. I just wasn’t about to tell someone they’d be fine then they get stuck or rip a bumper off haha. There was an Infiniti car that tried to go on the beach though....they got all of 100ft onto the sand before they got stuck

Lmao is there even a recovery point on that? Or are they beholden to someone with traction boards? We’ve done 2 days driving on the beach and so far, I’m the only one with boards (that I’ve seen).

I’m not sure really. There is an off-road towing company I saw that probably has a tow hook but I imagine it’s super expensive
