I'm looking into building a "RTT" I found this set up that I want to mimic. The tent is 7 feet 6 inches long and my roof rack is 6 feet 9 inches long. Any suggestions on a platform? Thank you 1f642_4a70d8e8fbdd74b3dd17997a66b521fddef06acf.png

Some type of exterior grade plywood or marine grade laminate. Plywood will need to be painted, you don’t want it absorbing water, it gets heavy and a freeze will damage the wood (did I mention splinters). Assuming the blue rig is yours (say hello to the queen for me). If you can fit the tent inside the rim on the roof rack, will make the platform thing simpler. Other wise I would support the middle of the DIY RTT platform.
