Only one housing was faded? That's strange.

Yea the back story is, when my boss had it he hit a deer and busted the drivers side light out . So the drivers side was newer.

I'm not sure on the year, it's definitely the earlier body style Charger.

Installed an OEM skid plate. The undercarriage is different, so it was not a bolt-on affair. I jacked it up with a jack where I wanted it. Then I just drilled some holes in the skid plate that lined up with some holes in the undercarriage.

Man I'd love an update on this build. Do you still have the truck? You're the first I've seen with an oem skid plate on their 5 lug. I'm pretty interested in that and it doesn't seem too hard, so you may have swayed me into picking one up!

Pat doesn’t have the truck anymore. He’s a tundra boy now.

Nooooo I've got a friend who had 2 tacomas and switched to a tundra... Guess who's selling his tundra after only having it a few months lol. Said he doesn't need a full size.

He got a good deal on his dads first gen. Got wrecked and I think he ended up with another first gen. I’ll text him to check in on here.

That's alright mainly just wanted to see if he had ever put that roof rack on his camper top. Might get a camper, but I'd want to put a rack on there and his idea seemed like a nice, cheap solution.

I had an opportunity to buy a first gen Tundra for a deal, so I listed the ten dollar taco for 5500 and sold it the next day.

Never got around to installing the roof rack, but I did test fit it, and it would have worked perfectly and looked oem.

Just have to say also, the 1st gen Tundra is basically the best Tacoma ever made. Unless you just really like to pay more and get less. ;)

I like the first gen tundras, too lol. Had a friend who has an f150 now because he totaled his first gen tundra and all he talks about is getting another one. It's been 2 years so it must've been an amazing truck!
