Exactly. Before Sunday, the Scan Gauge was reading between 13.9 and 14.2, depending on the loads. That was both with the adapted 105 amp Suzuki alternator and with the factory 60 amp.

I'll definitely let you know what I figure out. If I manage to save it, I might put it in the T4R and throw the stock T4R alternator in the tool box on the truck for a trail spare. This is twice now my ride has been cut short by an malfunctioning alternator and they aren't that hard to change. I'm also going to revisit my splash guards. When I made them, I forgot to add 2" to the part that goes over the shock tower, so I'm thinking about putting a piece of thin guage metal in there to give the alternator better protection. Have to do the other side too. I actually have clay piled up on my passenger exhaust manifold.

Apparently the rain was too much to handle for someone driving by my house last night.

Might be late, but just keep an eye out. Took me 6 months, but found an ARE, same year and color, once I got the black plastidip (sp?) off.

    Pressure washer made that easy.

I'm pretty sure 20 yrs is the rule, but there are a lot of restrictions that come with an antique plate, like you can only drive it 500 miles a year or something like that plus some other ones I can recall right now. Look it up at the FL DMV site.

I think the mileage limitation pertains to "Collectible" or some other specialty class. I had an antique plate on my CB750 and there was no requirement to report the mileage when renewing my tag.

Just checked and they changed the requirement to a vehicle 30 years old (used to be 20).

Well shit. I've gone for years selling a vehicle the year before it became an antique (my F250 before the Tacoma being the last). Now I've finally kept on long enough to qualify and they go and add ten years to the damn qualifying age. Just my luck.

registration is super cheap and it's old skool blue with "antique" written on it. Look it up on the DMV site.

Decided that I am going to start taking in some side jobs again, after taking about a year and a half off to figure out where exactly I wanted to go with it and setting realistic pricing and hourly rates.

As of now, I am offering:
    -Cab mount chops $150
-Spindle gusset welding (spindles removed and brought to me) $200
-Rear Frame plates welded (supplied by customer) $300
-Rock Rings welded (steel wheels only) $50 per wheel
-Weld-on Sliders $450 no kickout, $500 with kickout, installed, raw steel (trying to keep to ~2 weeks lead time for building)
-Welding of Coastal Offroad style bumpers. I would need the truck for a day for initial fitment and assembly, then truck can be picked up and the bumper can be picked up 1-2 weeks after that. $350 welded for bumper, and each additional swingout or gas can mount is an additional $70 a piece welded.

Will be doing custom work on a very limited basis, pending my work and social schedule. Trying to limit it to things I can do without having the customer's truck in my possession to cut down on their down time. I will no longer offer painting of anything. Currently offer MIG and Stick welding, with TIG welding and Aluminum TIG welding coming soon.
