I reserved one, lol. I bought it because it's full electric. My Tesla Model S was probably the best car I've ever purchased. I actually prefer it over my all my other cars in my garage.

My understanding is that most of the body can be formed with a press brake without all the crazy expensive custom tooling required for most production cars...so in this case, form follows economical manufacturing. That idea shouldn’t be, but effectively is revolutionary.

So, Tesla saves some money, and customers get an ugly truck. Seems like a good trade off.

What is the curb weight on that?

Imagine running on soft ground. Probably gonna need an A1-M1 Abrams tank recovery set up to unstuck it.

Thanks, but No. Electric is not zero pollution nor efficient. Electric is not ready, may never be, for long over road distance. 400 miles, then stop for an hour to charge translates to almost 8 hours...... I agree electric may be beneficial in a city, short run, grocery getter, mom taxi..... Load capacity is limited due to the weight of all the batteries.

If you want an education about batteries, Google how Lithium-Ions are made. These are the batteries in Tesla. When you finish that education, turn to how electricity is generated. Most of the electricity in USA is generated by burning coal or natural gas. Yes, there is some nuclear and hydro and wind, but mostly from coal or natural gas. Electric vehicles only displace where the pollution is being created. They are not GREEN.

Frankly, Hydrogen has better potential than electric. The only issue is developing an efficient method of producing H2. Currently, most H2 is fractured out of natural gas. Yes, you can get H2 from water using electricity......... Currently, too many losses to be effective.
