Agreed. The door and surrounding areas will need to be painted regardless of whether you repair or replace. Replacing will be a little bit of labor, fixing will be a lot of labor.

When there's that much rust showing, there's much more below the surface. Get a new (or newer) door.

Get a new one. The doors are easy to remove. Here's a ball park of what you'll pay if you investigate a bit.

Just buy a used shell and swap over the hardware. Easy peasy. Don't deal with the rust.

Where are you specing a $1000 door? That sounds like a brand new price from the dealer. As the other person posted above, there are cheaper options. Local junk yards here would charge <$100 and I see a handful on craigslist for <$200-300. Most body shops will have their own sources for cheaper options compared to brand new from the dealer.

I live in Canada i have checked a loot of junkyards and they all want 700+ for a single driver side door, none are willing to sell without the componests like window, handles, speakers, etc. even all the ones that come up in the states are mnimum 500 USD, i would shit a brick if i found a door for 100.

The only rust on the whole truck is on that door and a tiny bit of bubbling on the door behind it and the underside of the back bumper thats getting replaced by a coastal customs anyway, the frame was even inspected by toyota not too long ago for the recall inspection, i had it on the hoist a few days ago and it may be 12 years old but its in beautiful shape.

You did your homework for sure. The last thing I could think of is to just take a stab it. Learn everything you can to fix it. Might save you money going that route. Maybe one of the other members can point you in the right direction. Best of luck friend :)
