    Alright guys so I installed a class III hitch the other day for when I inevitably get stuck. Do I need a shackle hitch adapter? I've heard of people just putting a strap into the receiver and using the hitch pin, but that doesn't seem horribly secure, but what do I know?

    As for the front, I understand the driver's side is a tie down point, can the passenger side be used for recovery?

    I'll also be ordering the
    $91 Viair 88p Portable Compressor Kit (12V, 120 Psi, Forup to 33" Tires)
    Viair 88p, which I've been meaning to do for a while now. That leaves me with the following gear:

    2x 3/4" Shackles
    30ft tow strap (Not snatch strap)
    Shovel
    Gloves
    Air pump
    Various hand tools

    I will be getting:

    Snatch strap
    Recovery boards
    (Eventually) bumper mounted winch
    Probably a better front recovery point unless I can swing a steel bumper first

    What do you guys think about come-alongs/hand winches? I know they're not ideal but it seems like as a last ditch effort it may be worth it, especially if you're without another vehicle. Also, anything else you guys recommend at the moment?

    @Checkers10160 I wouldn't worry about getting anything you don't have before Sunday. Plenty of people there will have the recovery equipment if needed. Really the basics you want are a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, Comms, good spare tire.

    Definitely bring lunch, don't count on being anywhere near anything resembling a restaurant.

    If you're new to wheeling then are a few things that you always want to bring with you, food and water are #1. After that I'd make sure you've got good recovery points front and rear.
    Then just start building up your recovery gear (jacks, straps, traction mats etc.) Air compressors are good to have but IMO the other stuff is more important because you can always find a gas station to fill up at within a few miles of coming out of the trails.

    Plus don't forget the things that Seth said ^^^

    Lets also make sure that the least experienced drivers line up behind the most seasoned people so they can follow/learn lines and have their best shot at getting pulled forward if they get stuck.
