So..Chemo was working. Then it wasnt. So they switched to a new med. It's not doing anything positive. Can't eat. Can't sleep. Doc talking about putting me back in the hospital.

Not liking where this is headed....

Well.... Shoved a '98 Honda Accord sideways about 4' when moron driver pulled in front of me today. Wasted both drivers side doors on the Honda

Scuffed the powder coating on my Pelfreybilt aluminum bumper.

One of the highlights of cancer treatment is being a human yoyo.... Constant changes...up and down. Time for some up...

New chemo drug has it's own set of side effects. Most noteable...no need for laxatives Within 8 hours of infusion, everything empties out.. a real pleasure.

It takes up to 90 days to get the old chemo out of the system. It's been 1/2 that...neuropothy now easing up. (Have feeling in feet/legs again)

OK. Got latest labs on Thursday. New med has done more in 5 weeks than Velcade did in 17 weeks. Nearing point where I need to be for bone marrow transplant.

On a different note; I unspooled my winch line, cleaned it, then re-wound it....

Going to gun range next to expend a few rare 9mm rounds....

A subscription to Ed's webcam? I don't know. Watched him fall asleep for 30 minutes takin' a dumb the other night. Not so sure it's worth the $29.95 a month I'm paying

    Updates;

Bone marrow transplant starts 1 month from today.

In the next 2 weeks, heart and lung testing to make certain they can withstand rigors of transplant.

    4 more chemo treatments....

Pre-chemo steroid dosage has been cut in half (hooRAY) More side effects from steroids than from chemo itself...

    Latest labs look good...very promising!

Hemoglobin above10.0 for first time since ordeal began.

In a proper off-roading analogy, still not "out of the woods" , but the trail is getting wider and smoother.

Not a curable form of cancer...but treatable. In early state of diagnosis, I was told "1 to 3 years"....With current state after recent improvement, statistics say 5 to 10....and improving.

    Keeping fingers crossed.....

Friday, Oct 30th, the show starts. Heart Cath and lung test prior to transplant...and another bone marrow biopsy. Nov 16th starts "harvesting stem cells. Following that, a shot that kills ALL my immune system. Stem cell transplant itself on the 23rd. From the 16th through Dec 6th I'll be in isolation. Should know by then if It's a success or not. My doctor told me yesterday that isolation period will be "the worst I'll ever feel".

    Home on Pearl Harbor Day...
