When I bought my 2006 Tacoma it came with the cheap aftermarket spyder headlights. I recently bought a set of brand new OEM headlights for my truck. But when I went to install the OEM headlights I couldn't get them in. So I did a side-by-side comparison with the Spyder headlights turns out he OEM headlights stick out farther on the back of the headlight frame. I don't want to mess them up trying to install them. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

May seem like a silly question, but you did get the 05-11 2nd Gen headlights and not the 12-15 2nd Gen headlights, correct? Did you undo the bumper skin cover so that you have enough play to get the lower mount in?

I’m not sure which headlight you have, but I switched out my 06 headlights for newer stock looking ones and it’s a pain to get to all the bolts and stuff to get them in and out

they may be correct and it’s just a harder job than you expected
