Been wanting a short course truck and eyeing the Senton and Baja Rey. Might have to pull the trigger soon.

I can say the Senton is awesome so far. The 1/10 is a little small for where I tried to use it first, and grass just slows it down a lot, but definitely good on concrete too. I'll be trying it on a dirt track at my parents next time I go. I will use our tractor to build something fun to jump around on.

Yeah 1/10 has its limits. My savage flux tears through anything but a beast to carry around.

I love this hobby but sucks not having a shop in town. Just waited a week for a new spur gear for my twin hammer, installed it and a bigger battery tray. Take it out and my rear shock adjuster breaks...back on the work bench till I can get another in the mail. Wish I could just drive over to a shop and pick up a new one today. Oh well, nature of the beast.

1/10 SCT style RCs aren't that good in grass unless it's a green on the golf course. I got a Stampede a while back and it does well on grass with some bigger tires.

I have found some stock gems at these two places. If I am in need of something I'll look at them first before I broaden the search. DH is upper midwest and the fleabay vendor is FL. This may play a lot on quick ship times to me, but the last couple of orders have been 3 days or less. Albeit this was also last year.

Debating on getting my first crawler. Not trying to drop a bunch, but obviously get what you pay for. Hmm...

My dad got a redcat everest 10, it sat around for a few years til I started messing with it recently. It's relatively cheap, capable, and I think its a great starter. I'm not into competition or scale models, so I have fun messing around with it. I think it's about $140 with the charger and battery. I've drove it through a creek, rolled it countless times, and have done plenty of stupid things with it and the only thing I've had to upgrade were the wheels. After a while the hubs stripped the plastic wheels so i got some aluminum ones. Plus i believe it shares a lot of parts with the axial scx10, so you can always fix or upgrade it down the line.

What weight shock oil do you guys recommended for a Twin Hammer? Use it mostly for bashing around, so was thinking 30, but wasn't sure.

I have a WPL C24-1 kit coming, it's pretty cheap but I've heard it's fun. The kit still needs electronics, a speed controller, a radio. There's a bunch of parts for them too, upgraded metal drive shafts and what not. I'm in under $100 right now.

Ive got several of the WPL 1:16. They’re all too fast, IMO. I run a dual set of geared motors on my GAZ but it’s just not the same as a proper low geared tranny. Fun to tinker on and paint.

Haha, that’s too funny. I have that coming now. Didn’t want to drop $400+ right off the bat. Someone is selling a Helion Rock Rider, but I can’t find much in regards to crawling.

Just ordered this for the 2 year old. He wants to take my bigger cars out but way too much speed for him. Should be fun to put around with. Added the 3 year warranty for $3 so he can break it all he wants.

I have the Fox one but a “shock” broke and it won’t hold a charge anymore. He had fun with it while the charge lasted. Figured he could take this one out in some dirt too. Also I can only expect my other two to want one, so the price point is right.

Well I ended up getting the R1 from Brake.

My friends son has the Axial 1/24, so after talking with him, I ordered us two of the new WPL C24-1. Pretty stoked!
