Starting my trailer build this weekend for the rtt since I don’t have my truck anymore. Doing a 4x6 with 33’s to match the 4Runner. Anyone have any suggestions. We’ve spent the last several weeks planning and have come up with a solid plan for it. But still open for suggestions.

I just looked at the specs again. It looks like it has a similar foam base to my old High Country in addition to the 1.25" mattress rather than a hard floor. It does make a difference in comfort, so hopefully it's cozy for your bum

I wanted a hard shell for my Land Cruiser too, but I saw this one and it looked just like the old FSR adventure series design that they don't use anymore. After using it, I'm so stoked I didn't spend another $2k cuz it's dope

Ive seen that too. I was thinking about getting it when I had sold my last tent, and wanted to order a tent, but my current one wasnt in stock yet.

But @socalexpeditions had it, and I think his review was not great

What size Exped are you planning to get? I have the Megamat Duo 10 (72" x 40.9"). If I decide not to use it in my new setup coming tomorrow then I plan on selling it if you're interested.

Just about everything is home built, from the bed rack to the frame to the tent itself. I'm pretty happy with it but I am always looking for some tips and ideas to make it better!

I used to have an older one. I didnt like it because everything was riveted. And because Im over 200lbs, when I stepped on the ladder, the hooks ripped out. I replaced them with bolts, but still.. shouldnt have happened.

thats the complaint i've seen often enough to scare me away. For that type of clamshell i would go CVT/BFE ive had really good luck and customer service out of CVT.

I hadnt seen too many of the FSR Odysseys out and i like their design and no clamshell angle at the end of the bed where my big ass feet will be so i went that route. Also heard they ship fast so it would be sweet if thats the case and i get it by the weekend to install.
