Finally found a rear bumper I liked for a resonable price. Its only taken me 1 1/2 years to get it. Cut off a pretty big chunk of the rear fenders to angle it up to the bumper. Looks way better IMO

Picked up the LCA pivot kit in a group buy here on TW. It was made by @81Trekker and JD fabrication. Started the install and got it all welded in...just gotta put all the suspension back on tomorrow.
But if you are in the market to really beef up your suspension and get away from the stock cracked out LCA tabs or the bandaid fix of gussets....this is the kit to get!

That's an impressive piece of engineering, solved a bunch of issues, and very beefy! Awesome!

Pretty much got all the suspension back on today....though I was slowed down when I found that the bolt in the top hat of my coilover was sheared in half and I had to easy out the broken piece and find a new bolt that would work. The initial alignment numbers are looking good. Got the drivers side cams in right the first time to get good caster and camber numbers. On the passenger side I had to flip the cams around to get the numbers I was looking for. If you dont know...the way the cams work is they get about 60% of the the stock adjustment.... if you cant get a good alignment number you can flip the cams over the get the same 60% of adjustment in the other direction. Hopefully I explained that clearly enough....if not you will figure it out. Some pics from today

    And fuck that bolt!

Ok. It’s on it’s wheels. It drives straight. Steering wheel is straight. Doesn’t feel twitchy...feels planted. I feel much better too!
Gonna take it for a real alignment this week and move on to the next mod.

Alrighty... my LCA kit install is now all wrapped up and completly done....but not without 1 issue that had to be remedied after my alignment. This is most likely only an issue with the type of TC LCA's that I have. TC welded a skidplate to this particular model arms so they are pretty thick. Since both my front LCA attach points are cam'd all the way in they sit pretty deep into the attachment pockets. With that, when my arm drooped out it contacted the lower gusset between the 2 front LCA arm attach points. I cut back the gusset about 1/4 inch and got the clearance needed at full droop. I wasnt surprised by this since the stock LCA tabs also had to be clearanced to fit these particular LCA's. Remember this is not the fault of JDFab...they cant be expected to fit check their stuff with every possible LCA configuration out there. EDIT: JD Fabrication made an adjustment to the newest kits that eliminates this possible issue.

The guys at the alignment shop I took it too were in awe of the kit and actually had to pull the front LCA bolts to flip the cams for the adjustment and were really really impressed with that feature. Mind you this is a place that gets their fair share of custom and 1 off vehicles to align. These guys are geniuses when it comes to Alignments IMO. It's Bear Brake and Alignment in Corona. There are others Bears out there but I trust these guys in particular.

1/4inch cut off....dont worry...I cleaned up the cut and painted it after the pic

Steel Skid plate with a hole I cut in it for oil changes.....yes I'm that lazy that I dont even want to remove the skid for oil changes

Installed a tacomapros.com battery box recently. Fits perfect and is designed to pick up the ribs in the bed no matter what direction you mount it. Contact @Yotamac to get yours!!

By any chance do you have a contact or a way I can order new top hats? Called icon and they said to call a authorized dealer. Called a few and nobody knows how to find that part.

Thats strange. I was able to go to Icon directly in Riverside to pick up and pay for the part. I've done it on several occasions without issue. Sounds like the dealers you contacted are too lazy to do the work to get one for you. Maybe @Icon_Adrian can help you out on here. Otherwise call Icon customer service and sell out the dealers that refused to help you.
