From what I've seen, they're pretty good but the price is right up there with deaver so at that point I'd rather just get deaver. I've priced out alcans before and it's right at a grand, including shipping.

Why not just Plastidip it white? A half a day, some cold brewskies and it would look brand new and keep you cooler in the summer. You wouldn't even need to remove the roof rack. But if you were ambitious, you could wrap it yourself. Remove the roof rack, there is rubber trip around the window in the back you can tuck it into, and a nice grove in the front you could tuck it into, and then add a piece of rubber to hold it in. The same thing they use to hold screen in screen windows, only larger diameter. Once the roof rack was back on you'd never see the sides.

The roof is a series of compound curves. It's a serious pain in the dick, a lot worse than it looks. I'd hit it with the derpsauce before I tried to wrap it myself. Plus dip can be resprayed, and vinyl will just tear. Based on the pinstripes I see, he may want that.

From what @Darkgoatracer Nick told me it's really not as hard as it looks. He said as long as you don't stretch it too thin and use a heat gun it goes on fairly easy. Plastidip would the easiest and my choice though.

The real issue is finding 6x5 foot vinyl sheet from a reputable brand that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Dip is $10 a spray can, that vinyl will likely be 100+ dollars.

I've never even heard of vinyl. Isn't that some kind of siding? Not sure why you'd want siding on the roof of a truck.

Hey I’ve been thinking about this why do you call it a K12? I’ve heard a bunch of firefighters and wannabe first responder bro’s call them that.

Husqvarna rescue saw is the model K12. Then it sorta became the universal moniker like "vice grips" or "kleenex"
