I have been debating mounting a winch on my 17 Tacoma, but... I've gotten by so far without one and I'd rather not drop $2000 for a bumper and winch if I don't get much use out of it. I also frequently use a 2 Ton come along to move heavy equipment and other stuff, so I was thinking about getting a portable winch that could both replace my come along AND mount to the d shackles up front or hitch shackle adapter to winch the Tacoma if needed. Originally I was looking at buying a winch, a mounting plate, some chain, and some thick cables to make my own removable/portable winch, before I came across the WARN PullzAll.

Looking at the PullzAll, I'm surprised by how anemic it is. It only has 15 feet of cable and a 1000lbs rating. Compared to WARN's cheapest vehicle winch, that's half the cable and half the capacity at double the price. Heck, it's even weaker than my manual come along. The only advantage I can see is it has a built in battery so I wouldn't have to lug a marine battery around with me.

Are there other competitors to the PullzAll I should look at? Are there any premade kits that include an automotive winch + mounting plate + chain + battery cables? Should I just assemble my own as I was planning to in the first place?

Only you have a real good idea of what you need build your own.

Depends how you use it I have a 8000 pound winch in a cradle that mounts to the female receiver hitch it can be swapped front and back or any vehicle . Made a mount for a trailer to Load a Bridgeport that went really good.

I was surprised by the power of the Warn Pullzall it pulled a Celica sideways on the concrete I have no idea what the load really was though

If you want the power of a winch without the price, look into the more power puller. Can pull up to 120000lbs and have many uses.
