    I don't know.

Supposedly grips like these are made in Thailand, and people guess at the wood type, but no one seems certain.

nice 422 as well. I have a 6" with factory walnut grips anda 2214. My dad has my previous 4" 422. They are awesome suppressor hosts.

The Backpacker is on that same list, too. Either/or is fine with me.

One of my all time favorite "revenge" movies. Doesn't waste a lot of time setting up the back-story.

I think that Alaskan is only chambered for 454 Casull (so it'll also shoot 45LC), and judging by the recoil on my S&W with that load, you'd need to be the size of Dwayne Johnson to control it one-handed. The 460mag is about 1/8 in longer in the case and runs about 8000 psi hotter than the casull; the difference in the kick from 454 to 460 isn't all that big though, especially compared to the difference from 45Long to 454. Also, the 460 literally breathes fire in a 5" barrel (about 8" out each side of the compensator). After doing a couple of 460 Mag reloads at the range, handling 9mm rounds felt like loading a pellet gun.

The only model of Alaskan that's legal for sale as a new gun here in CA is the 2.5" barrel, which seemed pretty scary to me in terms of recoil before I'd had any experience with the round; now that I've shot it through a gun that weighs 10 oz more empty than that Ruger does fully loaded, I can't imagine getting enough practice with one to be any good with it in the field.

I'm still shaking my head over the chase sequence in Hobbs and Shaw where he's firing off that Rhino inside the cab of a Maclaren without stunning everyone in the car, especially Statham on the shots that go off maybe 4" from his face.

Just re-watched the movie last night. Now that I've actually shot some 454 cassul rounds (through a heavier gun than the alaskan), I'm finding myself bumped by how little damage some of his shots did. When he shot the assassin in the chest at the end, the energy should have spun a guy that size around, maybe even got him off the ground before he went horizontal.

My favorite is a S&W model 69 .44 mag ( L-Frame) but my little Ruger Wrangler has been getting a lot of trigger time recently. Its a fun little gun.

Just brought home my late father’s Ruger SA Blackhawk .357mag complete with cowboy style belt and holster with the bullets all around the back of the belt. Pics later if anyone wants any.

This right here or a pre-lock 686. I’d throw the Python in there too, but I’m a working man.

S&W 642 w CT grips in a Mika pocket holster. Mine had the lock so I removed it. Tough to shoot well but so convenient and easy to carry.

mine has been a constant companion during this covid craziness.

Ruger Security Six 4” SS with Pachmayr grips and a Bianchi pancake holster. First pistol I ever purchased. It was the 21st b-day present I bought for myself. Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It has gone on every hunting trip with me ever since. Accurate and Dependable.

    Very cool.

I also got a Ruger for my 21st birthday, but it (a P-85) is not as cool as yours!
