I'm on a bunch of forums for various topics, motorcycles, guns, investments, etc but TW is the only car thread I've ever been on. Of all the forums, TW I've been on the longest it seems, and haven't ever been banned from.

What I really like about TW is that in all the threads I've made, no one has said I asked a stupid question. Everyone is just stoked to talk about trucks and aren't afraid to ask newbie questions. For the four years I've had my truck, I always thought keeping it stock looked the cleanest and "held value". I've recently had a change in thinking and found some very clean builds. I'm not into off roading, but I enjoy taking care of stuff. I picked that habit up with my motorcycles.

I've somewhat neglected my truck from mods and upgrades, instead dumping all my money into guns and motorcycles. It's time to take care of and modernize my truck, starting with a competition sound system, fixing a leaky valve cover gasket, and a lift.

By the way, is anyone here in SoCal good with automotive paint? I bought my shell used for $400 and it has some minor oxidization on one of the curves of the roof. MAACO quoted me $550 for paint and prepwork, and just for fun I got quoted on painting the truck, $2000-$2500

In under 2 years you'll be unhappy with the results of both of those, even if you are lucky enough to like it right when it's finished.
