I have found a few videos but most are for 2005+ taco and/or for 6 lug. Never changed shocks or coils before which is why I am looking for a step by step video. I took the shock out yesterday but don't want to mess to much with the spring yet without some direction so that I don't damage anything or have a spring come flying out at me. Trying to do this on my own and not bring it to a mechanic. Also, I have never used a spring compressor so a little help with how to do that without one would be helpful. TIA!

Use a spring compressor, the one for springs and not coilovers that goes down the middle of the coil spring. Undo the uca and back out the lca after you have compressed the spring and should come out. Im needing to install mine, but believe thats the run of direction to do this

How can I use the one for springs that goes through the middle if my shocks are in the way? I understand that I should remove the shocks first but would it just be the same to get the compressor that doesn't have to go through the middle?
