No I mean I need an actual replacement skid plate lol mine has done its job and seen abuse. It's dented, scraped up, and a couple bolt holes no longer line up lol

Are there embedded slots for these inserts to go into on the skid plate? I haven’t noticed any on my 2017 Pro

if not, do the inserts come with measurements to install in the right place?

Ordering the last few parts to put my HAM radio in. Also gonna put in a gmrs as @BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT suggested

 

Depending on the radio that you go with it may be possible to do both in one unit.

Added the maestro GPS Adapter (didn’t know this existed) so I can use the factory antenna on the roof instead of the puck I had buried in the dash

For some reason my GPS was off by like 2 miles after switching to using the shark fin.

called crutchfield and they suggested updating the software on the head unit. Didn’t fix it (shockedpikachu.jpg).

in the depths of the internet, someone mentioned that the XM AND GPS antenna are the same connector and the GPS is on the drivers side.

pulled my dash apart again.. sure enough. Wrong connector. Plugged it into the other one. All is well

Not sure why this isn’t documented anywhere.

it’s documented in the pioneer 6600 thread. A rare moment where I might have been able to help you out. TW is awesome. I made several bonehead mistakes with my pioneer install and others helped me figure it out. Happy to share the love next time. Stoked you are sorted out.

 

That might have been where I found it. Kinda surprised maestro or crutchfield doesn’t have anything about it. Also not sure why it isn’t part of the recommended installation gear. Who wants an external puck if you can use the existing one?
