    I would do them soon. They are probably costing you some decent fuel economy and they are also probably all fouled up at this juncture. That reminds me. I've got about 6-7K on my Ruths.. I should pull one just to inspect them.

    I think I have about 2k on the ruthonium plugs........zero improvement in fuel economy. smoother idle though.

    So, when I switch to a 2.8, install the cam gears and get HPTuned, what plugs should I go with?

    Current exhaust is URD headers, Roost's y-pipe (w/ high flow cat and resonator) and TRD cat back.

    I’m running the ones that come with the S/C. You could try the new ruths people are going with but regular ones are fine.

    My dude @jamesepoop is over here running on technology from 2015 and prior. Switch to the future, man!

    About 95-98% should be running IKH-22s or equivalent to at this juncture.

    To run a 2.7 properly I would run a modified transmission valve body, the Roush tensioner if you don't want to runs a wrap mod (which most of us have done away with at this point because of the Roush tensioner) HPtuners, and... Yeah, that's about it. The rest is really up to you actually. The tranny work is a definite must have though.

    The tranny is due for a service, so I may do that regardless.

    Was the valve kit like $35ish?

    Our S/C kits came with Denso IKH22 (5345) but, according to Post #1, NGK LFR6AIX-11 (6619) is recommended over Denso.

    +1. I'm intrigued by the Rutheniums, but not ready to pull the trigger yet.

    Yes, that's what the Magnuson included with the kit. I'm coming up on 30K miles, so need to mine too.

    NGK LFR6AIX-11 (6619) still recommended over Denso IKH22 (5345)?

    It's mostly your choice.

    Denso has a finer iridium point over NGK which helps concentrate spark better, but NGK has better ceramic over Denso. Also, Denso comes pregapped to about .029" versus NGK which is about .041" if I remember correctly so going Denso over NGK eliminates the need to gap down if you don't have the proper means of doing so. It just sort of depends on what you want to do to be honest, but my preference has always been with NGK. All of the guys running higher boost should be a little more mindful about the plug gaps as the larger your gap the easier it is to blow out the spark due to increased cylinder pressure which results in the dreaded misfires under boost.

    Actually you know what, I'm glad you asked about that @Norton. I want to update the spark plug post regarding the pros and cons of going one over the other. I have to take the information I posted above and update the OP with it.

    man I will be that guy right now and ask if there is a sound clip you have somewhere I can hear? I have put the headers on yet because I can’t decide if I really want to run around with that much rasp/noise. Kind of enjoy driving the truck too much and I don’t want to do all of that and then be unhappy

    I have urd headers, stock ypipe, and TRD exhaust. It’s too raspy/loud for me. Going to install a resonator and see how that does.

    Unfortunately with this motor, the quieter the better.
