So I realized last night that my headlights badly need to be repositioned. Was my first time riding at night since I put my fairing on and the brights are pointed so high up its stupid.

I have been. I'm honestly just as fascinated by the Rivians as I am the Harleys. Pretty huge endeavor on Rivian's end to put in that many chargers in that time frame. Edit: err I guess Ener X? Weird, I was under the impression from the first episode that Rivian was the one installing them all.

Those rivians are pretty badass. Putting two together in two weeks for them and then sending them down range. Ballsy!

I will admit I may have been yelling at the TV when they were south and in the cold where the bikes wouldn’t take a charge. It’s too bloody cold, bring them inside!!!

Heard too many stories of the mess it makes and I change my own tires so I'd be the one cleaning it up. I have plugs and a mini compressor on the bike at all times and have done it in the past. I couldn't find the hole. Not funny but I seriously could not find where the puncture was. We sprayed almost a quart of water with dish soap mix all over it and no bubbles. Tech that pulled it showed me what he found and you can barely find it. Dealer is shipping the tire back to me and I'll repair it later. Since it's off the rim will likely patch inside.

I wonder since I’m running tubes in my tires if it’s different than people that are tubeless. I figure the slime would be contained in the tube with the exception of the bit that come out should it be needed.

Besides make them a PITA? lol

Tubes don't do a whole lot, a little de-beading protection at low PSI is probably the biggest benefit, but they also bring some other issues, too. Like, repairing a tube is a way bigger bitch than just putting a plug in a tire. Pinch flats if you're too low of a PSI. You have to be extra careful spooning tires on that you don't rip the tube with a spoon.

Up until recently spoked wheels weren't sealed air tight, tons of holes in the rim, so you couldn't run a tire without a tube on it. Cast wheels don't have that issue. Some rims also lack the another bump on the rim to keep the bead in place, safety bead or something like that. Nowadays, a lot of the spoked tires are edge-spoked and tubeless. Or, some people will seal the spoke nipples on the inside and use a thick tape over it to convert a tubed-wheel to tubeless. Found out the previous owner did that to my rear wheel when I changed it for the first time. I've heard stories of it failing so I've kept a tube in it just in case (and 'cause I already had it ready to go). Nice to know if I get a flat I should be able to just plug the tire hole and keep going with minimal PSI lost.

I'm a little sad right now, it rained all weekend and is supposed to rain the rest of the week. Changed out my smoked visor to my clear pinlock one. I think summer riding is officially over :pout:

When I got a flat last year I was told by Harley that my spoked wheels weren’t air tight and needed tubes. Since you have mag wheels @grdgz97 , you might want to check if you have tubes or not. I’d imagine you don’t need them but they may be there from the factory if you’re on your first set of tires.
So since I’m stuck with tubes I wonder if there are any negatives to using slime since it should all be contained and if I ever swap tires it should more or less and stay in the tube. I run slime in the tires on my mountain bike so I imagine it carries over.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
I feel your pain, here is what my day consisted of...

Don't mind my disaster of a work bench.

There was actually some coolant pooled on the front of the piston that I cleaned up before I took pictures.

Fair enough. Series standing i probably would have gone quick fix
Tubes are easy after you do enough. Mousse are a bitch.

Ive converted 3 spoked wheels to tubeless. Tape and stickers covering the nipples
Never seen a mag wheel with a tube so thatd be a first.

Usually the only case of a tube in a mag wheel is the result of a field repair done roadside or at a small shop that didn't have a tire in that size but did stock tubes so they yanked the valve stem and installed a tube to get a rider back on the road. You can run a tube in a tubeless tire but I wouldn't want to except in an emergency.

On most of these long distance rallies riders are required to carry a small air compressor and tire plug kit. It's covered in the rules. Once I get the old tire back at my house I'll try and get a couple of pics of it. I seriously believe it's a strand of wire from a steel belt likely from blown tire debris on the road that I must have ridden through. It's SO small I'll probably have to ream the hole out larger just to put a plug in it.

Yeah the smooth piece. I run it on top of the gap between both sides of the boot so the buckle has a smooth transition without pinching but wasn't sure if that was correct lol.

They are good, I really liked them. I tried originally with the short moulds, and the strap. The strap made it awkward in my ear and I could feel my helmet pushing on it. I also realized that even the short moulds were uncomfortable because the little solid filters inside didn't have enough silicone to make me not feel it in my ear canal. So the final setup that was most comfy for me personally was how it originally came, no strap, larger moulds. It was nice to have the options to try it all out though. Had it on for 3 hours and it only got uncomfy towards the end.

I did get out a little this weekend. The amount of confidence the new boots gave me was insane because of how much more grip I had on the bike with them. Also beat the shit out of myself running some single track and endless whoops. The whoops destroyed me. Oh and attempted my first log hop, got over and didn’t crash but it was not smooth lol

The inner liner should fold under the wrap around. It shouldnt touch anything like the buckles/straps. Maybe take a picture so i can verify ehat you mean? Ha. Hard to explain
