    just a thought, could the tailgate camera be used full time as a rear dashcam? I’m sure someone is savvy enough to do the wiring.

    Stickers and not enough wax
    Not using the factory camera - there isn't a recording mechanism for the back-up camera so you'd have to replace the whole shebang. Easier to simply install a rearward facing camera.

    How did you get power to a rearward dash cam? I have a shell installed and it’s an Off Road so I have that never used power outlet. There are 110v ac to 12v dc converters. That simple?

    The cheapest method would be to port it through the bed, into to the cab and along the trim into the arm rest. The little bit hard and more time consuming is basically the same but hardwire it to the battery with a module that can be switched on and off so it doesn't drain when not in use.

    OR, you can try on of these for the bed outlet...
