not to worry as i was in the dark too, but it is absolutely normal! the wah wah sound is simply the sound of the rotors compressing air through the bypass valve and is audible at normal idle speed(which is why you hear it after rpm stabilizes after startup) after i installed the 2.7 pulley it was way more noticeable. also if you get a stethoscope you can only hear the wooshing air or the rotor coupler(nasty growling also at idle) its been about a year since all the research but i think the information was actually on the FAQ for Magnusunsuperchargers.com. FYI if you have a non enclosed air filter setup its way more intense !!

Don’t know if it’s been asked.....too lazy to search......do the ruthenium’s need to be gapped or are they good to go out of the box? I’m about to buy whatever are the next set of plugs I’m going with.....

I didn’t gap mine. Just look at them and make sure they are all pretty close. As long as they don’t get dropped hard you should be fine.

I think it would be more useful for the TOYOTA Tacoma Fit Kit Installation Instructions PDF be attached or linked on page 1 rather than some copied and pasted subset of this information that lacks formatting and diagrams from the source…

Here's the PDF that information was taken from:

I don’t think anyone on here has had a bad experience with the ruths. The only down side I would say is price. But if it matters to you, they should last longer than the stock replacements since they are specifically designed for boosted applications.
I noticed better mpg and smoother feeling motor with mine (How ever one of my plugs was pretty borked, and they were pretty close or over 30k miles on them.) I believe @12TRDTacoma had similar results of slightly better mpg with them.

Less change of mind and more interest in observing long-term experience with the Rutheniums, and seeing if NGK releases a version "designed for" our trucks. To be clear, I don't think you'll go wrong either way, but I remain more comfortable with the iridium option, for now. Here are some of the posts that brought me to this conclusion...

I’ve heard quite a few TRD SCs on a 1GR-FE. That does not sound normal to me.

I'm running them. No change in performance I could notice, maybe a smoother idle, but take that with a grain of salt. New plugs almost always give a smoother idle

I second this. I’ve never heard mine or my brother’s with this sort of noise.

I went up from 13.1mpg to 14.3 pretty consistent. I would get anywhere from 208 a tank to 228 (when I was lucky), now with these I went up to 228 (when I'm driving like an ass) to 245.

Driving habits have always been the same for me and I do mixed city and highway driving. Take it for what you will but I'll take the funky plug design over OE style anyday for the increased benefits on my wallet savings. Idle is a lot nicer too. I got one more MPG mod I want to do and supposedly that should bump me up an extra 1.5- 2 MPG.

@Norton I have a magnetic 5/8 spark plug socket. I'm pretty sure would work well with the ruthx sparks. I dont think it'd be a huge issue servicing them if you don't mind the extra tools. Furthermore, I'd like to see actual hard numbers that it's making a physical change. The more I researched good plugs, I realized the materials in the plug tips needed to be top materials. Ie. Most of the standard iridium offerings still use a nickel ground electrode, whereas the ruthenium and more expensive iridium options offer platinum electrodes (and increased plug longevity). Not a huge issue for most that stay on top of their maintenance and many people here do just that.

To me, it sounds like a bad bearing on one of your pulleys.
