Well if you’ve heard any news from Austin, Prop A (politics aside) is meant to bring new infrastructure here but also cost tax payers extra in property tax. Not my forte but, there are always worse things!

I think we should be focusing on the pandemic issues right now. I mean we can always rely on Texla and the Boring Company to dig our subway holes underground but adding additional cost to property owners right now doesn't sound right.

I noticed that on my ballot the city of Hurst has a slightly different different prop A: allowing retail liquor sales. Here's hoping that by this time next year I won't have to drive a completely unreasonable 10 minutes away to pick up my sweet-tea vodka from the Colleyville store anymore.

My issue with Prop A is that it improves public transportation in parts of town that already have it instead of expanding and improving public transportation to parts of town that desperately need it. Rents in the areas where it’s proposed have been going up, so the working poor have been moving further from the center of town...where public transportation isn’t (or isn’t enough). I tried to attend (as an invited HOA officer) a limited town hall on it that was cancelled because of COVID, but they let me email them questions...

    ...that were never answered.
