Just started setting up a truck fishing kit, something I can keep with me all the time.

What else should I have in it?

    Right now I have -
    Panfish tube bait kit
    Small/medium shad swim baits
    Misc jig heads
36 inch ugly stik dock runner rod (6lb line)

Not looking to catch anything too big, but if im out and there is a pond to fish, I might aswell fish it.

Does anyone else have a little kit they keep in their truck with them?

I carry the same small spinning rig that I have for decades. It's in a plastic box. I've tossed a few bits and bobs in. Among my most epic story took place near Reno. I was there for some fire training. Each afternoon I'd head out to a nearby river. The fly fishermen were doing their thing with very limited success. I just hooked a small bobber with a short leader and floated it down. I was getting hits and then releasing. After a bit two of the fly guys came up very upset and said I was "stealing" all of their fish. I may have laughed harder, but I don't know when.
