The ones on each end are MGB-GT's, the two in the middle are 1974 or later MGB's; They have the rubber bumpers that killed them in the US because it ruined the styling. Not sure what year the GT's are, the one on the left is probably a '72 or '73 because of the bumper pads, the one on the right looks like a mid-late 60's. All of them look like they were put together from wrecks.

Good ol' deliciousness of 4 2 7 Ford Galaxie.

Fiberglass hood, can't remember if the front fenders are f-glass also.

This is a Galaxie with a thunderbolt hood.

Ok I had to look it up:
The ones we are thinking of are called "Thunderbolt"s, 1964.

"Fiberglass doors, hood, front fenders and even the front bumper on the earliest cars along with Plexiglas side and rear windows aided in weight reduction; the hood with its distinctive raised "teardrop" ram air scoop designed to draw hot air from the engine compartment was pinned in position, eliminating the need for a hood hinges and a latch. Later cars have aluminum front bumpers in place of the fiberglass units due to racing regulations"

I’m not sure if you’re saying they put the Thunderbolt hood on the Galaxie or not. The Thunderbolt, as you mentioned, indeed came out in1964, but it was based on the Fairlane, not the Galaxie. The Fairlane was a smaller car. 7AAA90CC-399D-44F4-A0B0-7BA80ECAF9AC.jpg68EB585D-81CD-4276-8906-98FB91B5F168.jpgI’m betting the car is like this one...a 1963 “lightweight” Galaxie. Ford built 200 of them with fiberglass body panels, including either the flat hood or bubble hood, and had aluminum bumpers. It had the 427 NASCAR engine, like the Thunderbolt. I think they built them through at least 1965.

Go back aways in the thread and you'll see my post about 427 Ford madness. ;)

Very nice, what drivetrain combo? So many variations with those. A real R/T? 1970 Charger. I had a 1971 CUDA’ at one time.

Brought it home yesterday. Runs good, but the EFI only has about 225 miles on it, and most of that was on the highway. The motor was broken in on a stand with a carburetor. It will get better, and if it doesn't we can tune it manually. As-is it put down 450-plus HP and 500-plus TQ at the wheels, and that's with a full exhaust and factory long branch manifolds. It looks fantastic, and the pictures don't do it justice. I will probably only get to drive it a few times before storing it for the season, so it's full personality won't be known until next season. Not happy with the bill or the time it took, but very happy with the results.
