So I’m thinking about installing some subwoofers in my 3rd gen Tacoma.

Problem is, I’d like to retain the stock head unit.

Would something like the PAC SNI-35 be suitable to get some RCA outputs to the amplifier?

Thanks! I was looking at that harness, but it’s only available in the states, and i prefer not to pay the duty fees!

    I’ll give the SNI-35 a shot !

Any line out converter would work .. but I would go for brand name one . All your doing is getting a signal from the stock speaker wire to your amp to get sound.

I take it I’m going to have to splice some wires. My last woofer setup was in a VW with an aftermarket head unit, therefore the unit had rca outputs already.

Do you find this PAC unit complex or just a couple splices and good to go ?

I will let you know how well it drives 2 JBL Stadium 6x9 + 2 JBL Titanium tweeters (front) and 2 JBL Stadium 6.5 (rear)

hoping the size allows in-dash or centre console mounting - still needs 4 AWG power supply wires

    amp tested here:

The PAC SNI-35 is definitely an industry standard. You only need 4 wires to connect it up. +/- Left and +/- Right speaker wires. The brown wires are usually never used. I have installed well over 100 of those in the past. They were the only brand that we liked selling.
