Okay, finally going to get one of these. What size safety wire are you using? Would .041 be good for general use? And the CLT03 is the one you'd recommend?

Well, most of my parts are running three days late (thanks Amazon). But I was able to start my presta bike adapter with a salvaged hose and adapter from a broken pump.

@tonered any tips for the sharp cut ends? Just push them in the hose a little? Buy better side cutters?

Cut them a bit longer with the sharp side toward the hose. Then, form them over toward the hose. You'll never feel them and they won't foul the hose.

That looks like great tension though.

A couple more tries and I think I'm getting the hang of it. Much more parallel this time after taking my time and dressing it before tightening like you would with a knot.

Yes. A little pull to set it does help, esp with the SS stuff.

    Soon!

All of this was supposed to be here Friday. It's been in Troutdale ever since then and not moved. Still says today by 9 though... 30 minutes left, maybe it'll make it - it's just 169 miles away.

Be gentle with that brass knob. I know that I over torqued some clamps in the past with just the wingnut. No real risk other than redoing it again.

    Here’s my second revision

    F2FD46B7-03CB-4D2A-B1DC-2BD7CDE35EFD.jpg

I haven’t figured out what I want to do for deflation yet since the regulator is one way.

I can bleed pressure out of it if I got too high and want to lower, I wonder if I just cap the input if it’ll work?

Maybe swap the connections on the splitter hose so you can plug the regulator in either way.

    :bananadead:

I guess that would work too. I’m too used to always making the inputs the same ends.

edit: just kidding. No it won’t. If I only pressurize the input end, it’ll dump continuously. I have to pressurize the output end but have the input pressurized as well

Yeah it's unconventional but that seems like the easiest fix. Otherwise you could make a double ended adapter, but that's another piece to keep track of
