When I didn’t my balljoints I kinda started at one end and slowly worked around to the other side with a flat end screw driver.

That doesn’t really make sense over the internet, and I can’t think of anyway to make it more clear

And this just from the pics?

If you took a ride in Trudy I imagine you would already be searching for one of your own, it is ridiculous how much fun this little truck is to drive!!

I’ve actually got a buddy looking into building a 5 lug for champ car racing. Corvette suspension and boost is the plan. Unless a 2 door rav4 pops up. Both these cars play the number game just right for the champ car rules

Never heard of this form of racing, sounds like a ton of fun especially with a 5 lug!!

It’s interesting. He runs a mr2 spyder, but the rule book hampers it a lot. So building a truck or small suv actually makes more sense

    difficult to install, mostly.
the only way I can see to do it well is to split the top down the middle - and I’m not sure I’m enthusiastic about that just yet.

I developed sciatica the other day from the seats. I can barely walk. I’m trying ass cushions but no help there. I can’t believe we cannot raise the back of the seat in these. There has to be a way without an entire seat swap. I’m pouring money into fixing actual issues- axles, valve cover gaskets, etc. that I don’t want to spend the cash on different seats. Anyone have ideas? Getting older sucks.

Is it the lack of lumbar support adjustment? There are lumbar support cushions you can buy online that help, some just strap around the seat

Anyone know what would cause a 3rz to not build psi in the cooling system? It has a thermostat as the temps come up and stay in the middle of the temp gauge

It also gets crap mpg but I still need to do all the things that need to be done to a 20 year old truck

    4 run, 2 don't
Sciatica is no joke, it hit me hard last month where I couldn't even get out of bed, much less put on a pair of pants.

I'd honestly recommend a seat swap; within 2 weeks of having sciatica I took on a 30 hour drive (15 each way + off roading) in my 4Runner and I didn't experience anything more than just a tiny bit of "sitting too long" kind of discomfort.

The 4Runner seats with lumbar are a godsend compared to the seats in a Tacoma.

All you'd need is an offset mount/spacer which was offered in the 1st gen section.

About 7 years later the bumper was rusting a bit. Sandblasted and painted it up. Ordered a rough country winch because the bumper was off so why not

Everything I read said the 1st gens can’t be raised because of the angle. It can? In the back brackets? Honestly I didn’t look... that would be GREAT! What did you use?

I saw those posts for the guy making the risers and they were only for 2-3gens.
