    Hello all,

I've searched for an answer on existing forums and had no luck...

I bought my tacoma from Canada and imported it myself back to the states. Anyways I'm in the middle of an aftermarket head unit install and just now realizing that my stock headunit is a "Bongiovi Acoustics DPS" and was only offer in Canada starting in 2011. So my question is:

    1) Will I loose some sound quality from removing this headunit?

    2) There seems to be 6 connections in the back of my headunit, do I need to use all of them?

I believe sound quality depends on your speakers, I recently replaced my head unit and all my speakers with the Kicker Brand speakers and it sounds amazing. I used all 6 if you go to https://www.crutchfield.com it will show you what fits your truck and if you pay a little extra they will give you a plug and play adapter so you do not have to do any of the wirings.

+1 for Crutchfield mentioned above. I bet if you contact them direct they can help since you have a kinda niche situation. I paid the extra cash for them to build a wiring harness for me and it was entirely plug and play.

I just threw in a Jensen head unit on my Taco had Crutchfield add in the pre-wired harness for an additional 24 bucks......well worth the money for sure for me.
