Updates to RCI Offroad

Hello Tacoma World!

We wanted to update the forum with current information of the big changes happening around RCI Offroad.

We have officially hired a bigger sales, customer service, and technical support team! In the past, we know it has been a challenge to get in contact with us. Moving forward, many new improvements are being implemented to vastly expand our customer support. You are the ones who have helped build this company to be great! Your feedback is huge and we are making sure we take steps for contact availability.

As of today, we are rolling out a brand new fiber laser that will increase our production speeds and efficiency. This is causing a speed bump at the moment, but once this is up and running we will be in full production. Our fabrication team is full of all star professionals but they are not superhuman. Our team is working our hardest to keep lead times as low as possible and unwavering RCI quality at its peak.

Our current lead times as of 9/15/2020:

Bed Racks: 4-6 weeks
Skid Plates: 5-6 weeks
Bumpers: 6-7 weeks
Rock Sliders: 7-8 weeks
Accessories are on a 1-2 week shipping time frame.

Aside from fabrication, we are diligently working to improve our website experience. Some of our product photos are of aged designs and do not accurately show our current product revisions. At RCI we strive to improve our quality always and our photos have not illustrated that. These will be updated as quickly as possible. A back order notification system is also being rolled out for 3rd party equipment. Some of our suppliers are feeling the restriction of supply lines too. We want to provide the most up to date inventory information as possible for you. If you ever have questions or concerns, please reach out to us!

In Tacoma World news, we have someone who is now focusing on TW full time! This forum is full of awesome trucks and even more awesome people!

 

Hi RCI, I have sent two emails, called and left VM and even text trying to follow up on my order (#34270) placed on 09/04/20. Just looking for an status update and estimated ship date. Based on these lead times it should be shipping soon?

 

I'm looking for a similar update from @RCI-Offroad -- as I ordered a bed rack on 9/12 (Order # 34850). I am currently sitting at the upper end of the estimated lead time (4-6 weeks), with no updates since the week I ordered. I completely understand and appreciate that lead times are estimated -- but some correspondence and updates would be great -- as I have an RTT ready to install! ;-)

I ordered some skid plates on labor day weekend. They got here last week Monday. At the upper end of the lead time.
I'm happy.

Thanks for all your patience with us! Lead times are getting stretched due to supply chain issues. We hope those skid plates last you a lifetime!

 

@stokesrm - what lead time did RCI tell you?

- I ordered 09/04 when the lead time noted 4-6 weeks; so that puts it at 10/16 assuming full 6 weeks.
- On 10/5 they PM'd me saying "possibly 3 more weeks" which now puts it at 10/26.
- I called Monday 10/26 and they said it should be shipping in the next "day or two but definitely this week".
- Now just today I received another PM today stating "should be ship by the next week or so" which assuming it actually does ships next week puts me at 9 weeks from original order!

I too have a tent ready and a trip already planned for first week of November assuming that was more than enough fluff from their 4-6 week published lead time.

So my experience level and first experience with RCI at this point is extremely frustrating.

 

I, too, was told 4-6 weeks -- and we are already there. I received an update that there were some supplier issues at RCI and that my rack should be shipping "by the next week or two..."
