Glock 26 with a 147g. jhp. 10 in the mag, 1 in the chamber is plenty. Nice thing about the 26 is you can run +p+ rounds in it. Thats not recomended in many compact 9mm pistols. However I like to cary my Glock 17 eventhough it prints at times.

This is my Springfield Armory 9mm. Here is my concealed holster, you can use it in front or behind. It goes inside your pants only and is leather about $45. I find it is very comfortable once you get used to having it, kinda forces you to sit straight.

That just doesn't look comfortable at all to me. But like you said, once you get used to it, it will prolly not be that bad.

Its not that bad. Actually more comfortable than I would have thought. In my opinion its not at all comfortable if you carry in the front. At least not if you need to sit and bend however if all you will be doing is standing up and walking for a long time than the front is very nice and easily accessible.

Do you drive your truck with that concealed in the back? I keep the lumbar set at max (have back problems and bad posture) Seems like it would not let me lean back if that thing was positioned on the lumbar of my back.

As a matter of fact I just got back home, yeah I drive with it, it is annoying. ther actually isn't that much gun in your pants it only comes down to the top of your back pocket, no troubles bending but when you sit in your truck it will certainly cause some slight difficulties. I don't know of any concealed carry that will be comfortable while driving you could always remove the gun to drive and leave the holster on.

I have a belly band that I wear when its not so hot outside and its comfortable all day even driving in the truck but I like that holster for days of just walking. Can always take it out when you get in the Taco.

I carry an XD45compact. It's my 4th XD. The wife has the XD9subcompact and I really like that as well.

I carry a Kel Tec P3AT as my off duty gun. The XD's are awsome guns. But to me, the best gun is one that you will ALWAYS carry. Having a CCW, CWP or what ever your state calls it is worthless unless you comit to carry full time. My .380 weighs 8.3 ounces unloaded and I don't need a holster. I can just slide it into the pocket. If I'm wearing really light short's I'll use a pocket holster to avoid printing. Another great option is the new Ruger LCP.

How many does it hold with the extended mag?

I carry the Kahr CW45, in a Blade Tech paddle made for the Sig 228.
At first I was unhappy with the reliability (slide stop pin fell out, failed to chamber my reloads) but since replacing the slide stop retention spring and polishing the chamber, the gun works without failure. Accuracy and ergonomics are as good as even my full size Kimber.

Just picked up another Glock 23 (Gen 4). I run the 165 grain Federal HST rounds in it. When I wear lighter clothing, I switch to my Kahr CW9 with 9mm +p+ 147 grain Federal Hydrashocks (old SWAT loads.)

drop in k&n for now. Deckplated. Got rid of the intestinal airpipe and baffleys. Replaced with shiny big pipe of more straightness.
    I carry a Springfield xd .45 sa.
Not bad at all but Im 6'5 tall so dont really notice.

Did get to do a review of the Ruger Sr9c.
Which is a surprisingly great firearm

We got to run several hundred rounds thru the Sr9c..
    Really surprisingly accurate and comfortable.

Im not the biggest 9mm fan and would pick one up in a heart beat.

    good luck.

For right now I have an XDm .45 in a Crossbreed QuikClip IWB holster. I'm hoping to get an XD .45 compact in the near future to carry.
