I drove through a creek or 10 and there's dookie in my foglights now. Here's the driver side foglight, the passenger is the same:

    KIMG1069.jpg

The water is brown and there's chunks in there. Something's alive too. I swear I saw the water move.

I've pulled the light out and tried to clean it out, but it's just getting worse. I even drilled a drain hole in the bottom and whatever demon baby shrek swamp baby shit living in there plugged the hole already and is wiggling around mocking me.

Anyone else had this problem? How'd you fix it?

Should I have posted this on Friday?

She's only got one nautical mile on her. It's a dual-porpoise vehicle. Like new. Don't expect swamp ass fogs. Even my Honda Element had clear fogs and I also drove that poor little minivan through creeks.

:annoyed: I was worried about that. Bidding starts at tree fiddy.

Sorry, I spent all my money for fancy lights on seafood and cheap wine so my wife will sleep with me at night. Nothing left for upgrades. I'd rather have shrek in my foglights than have RIGID stamped on the front of my truck anyways.

Hop over to the classified section here and buy a set for $20, then burn those to kill the demon that has possessed them.

When I got mine filled with swamp water I pulled them off the truck cleaned them with warm soapy water then used compressed air isopropyl alcohol and a little cotton ball to clean them.

The air causes the cotton ball to spin around inside the light really fast and gently wipe around inside the lens and the isopropyl and air dry it out and leave a clean inside.

When satisfied use tweezers to pull the cotton out.

It's not perfect but it's the best method I have found.

Ultimately replaced my stockers with SAE approved RIGID fogs with Amber covers.

@crashnburn has an excellent comparison of aftermarket fogs and why you shouldn't run anything but an approved fog light with the appropriate cut off and @sidetracked can get you the deals on lights.

I’d buy new housings and slap some silicone on them before you swap them out.

You can buy new take off OEM fogs for $40 shipped off the marketplace here, I’ve bought 3-4 sets.

My fogs aren't as bad as yours but I'm sure if I decided to see if my truck could swim it would look like that. I'm planning on swapping them out with the rigids when they get bad enough.
