Hey an XD9000I just popped up locally. I know what the specs are for the winches but only saw 1 person running it several years ago on a tacoma. Assuming it has more to do with mounting than capabilities. Anyone got some knowledge to drop? All the other threads in recovery about winches not much for this specific model.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
It’s a solid winch. The controller is integrated and unable to be separated and remote mounted. If your mounting solution has room for a winch with an integrated controller then it’s a fine choice.

They are killer winches. on a Tacoma you will probably have to cut the grille at a minimum unless you are building your own bumper.

Mine is an 8000 and is still kicking ass despite being 20+ years old

I have one on my 63 CJ5. Been a great winch, no problems. Not sure how well it would fit on a Tacoma though.
