yeah everyone puts kegs on their houseboats ... and id rather cover more ground in one day than "enjoy my surroundings" ... esp when its nothing but pine trees.

This is on the John Muir Leatherwood trail. It is an awesome place. It had rained the whole week prior to going down there but it was still fun.

There is a bridge under that... We crossed over it on the way in had to hike up and on to the bridge for vehicles when we came out

Sweet I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread.

I'm looking at buying a new tent for camping and need some advice on deciding what to get. I have been researching lately and it will mostly be me and my gf camping but we tried a 2 person tent and it was kind of a tight fit so im looking for a 4 person tent preferably a 4 season. What should i be looking for?

its not too bad. I like the exoframes because I can hook my crap on the outsides as well. I dont normally fill that pack all the way up either. Its the Kelty Tioga 5500

I knew someone would say the good 'ol thats what she said hahaha. I guess I'm looking for a bigger tent because i was tired of carrying everything back to the truck to keep the critters aka raccoons from getting into all the stuff.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread, I love hiking and camping. Here are a couple of shots from a trip in October to Asheville and the Blue Ridge mountains. We summited Mt. Pisgah and hiked the graveyard fields trail (both are from graveyard fields).

I have these 2. The cookset is alright. not the best but it gets the job done. The GSI sets are nice.

The light is nice too. I seem to lose my lights frequently though so I have learned to buy the cheapy ones so if I lose it, I am not out a ton of money. cheap sometimes works just as nice as the expensive ones.
