Which colour is is the most popular and easy to resell?

Most popular colors are: Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Silver Sky Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic. Magnetic Gray Metallic is probably the easiest to sell

 

Then again - who knows what colors may be popular in 15 years...
I would not buy a yellow Tacoma on the expectation that in 15 years I would possibly make $50...

Fashions change. Buy what you like today.

I do think that less common colors / features will always find a buyer eager for those... Even if its an otherwise common vehicle. It may take a bit of time, but they'll find it...

 

This is true.

 

MGM will always look good. I doubt a lunar colored truck is something that in 20 years people will be fighting for. It's unique and fun, but that makes it a bit of a novelty not a classic.

 

Black never ever again. Bought 1 new Black vehicle in my life. A Black SUV for the wife.
That thing was dirty 30 minutes after washing it without even being moved out of the garage.

 

Is that even a thing anymore ? All colors will fade and your undercarriage will rust away and fall apart .your engine will seize at 30k miles . Lol

 

That's funny. I've only owned black vehicles. I don't really care how clean it looks, though.

Silver is the least desirable for me.

Wife's anal about her car. Had to wash that damn Black thing 2-3 times some weeks. Never again.
Was fun to drive though, with a 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

 

I'm not sure if it has been resolved or not, but it doesn't seem to have happened with other colors, especially when do new.

Personally, I like weird things. I bought my truck in Quicksand. I always have people looking at it and complementing me on it. I go to the dirt track almost every weekend ands a perfect fit, as far as not looking dirty after the races while every other car is extremely dirty.

As far as the truck with worn paint and such, I'd guess they are in the hotter southern states where the sun just blasts nonstop on them. Also, would think washing and waxing help protect the surface from getting baked.

 

Please tell me more about this issue. I have a 2016 Super White and zero paint flaking/issues. Thanks

There are a couple of threads on it. It isn't super common, but it does happen. It has something to do with the single stage paint they used and sun exposure.

Here is one of the more recent threads on it. There's also some results on Google. It isn't unique to the Tacoma though. Camry's have also had this issue.

A quick check on KBB doesn't show much difference between the colors. Not enough to matter, anyway. Even if it was $100 or more, I would still go for the color that I wanted to look at for the next 15 years. I can't imagine anyone buying a 15 year old truck is going to have color as their top priority. If you want the most resale value, keep it clean and well maintained. I would think the truck's condition would far outweigh the color.
