@tacobell007 Keene for now. We’re looking to buy but we rented an apartment to get rid of my wife’s 1.5 hour (each way) commute.

I was hoping to see you at the fall yota run! I hope @Bruce988jl ’s move was smooth

Hmmm, how much do you know about what you started with. Indoor tends to be better than outdoor, so that has to be considered. I’m still learning for sure.

I wish I could have gone but the girlfriends sister and Jason were both moving that weekend. Jason still has a few more weeks before he is officially up here I think, unless he moves before finishing the upstairs floors

Hey thanks to the food smoking thread someone posted this.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Tr...MIu8rb7-_27AIVip6zCh3ceQDDEAQYASABEgKCPfD_BwE

Ozark trail 52qt cooler on sale for about 65 bucks that’s I think more than half off. This is now less expensive than the 26 I want to trade down for. If anyone’s looking for a cooler - this is your sign. You probably won’t find them this cheap in raggedy condition on Facebook marketplace let alone brand new o_O I don’t know why they’re on sale so much. But take it while you can. Probably overstocked or they want to roll out a new model before the holidays?

I have this cooler already. Would recommend.

Is Jason in NH too?! @Bruce988jl

On another note, can you just revalve any rebuildable shock to play well with a tacoma? As in, could I buy a random fox/king/icon/etc shock and set it up to work on my taco?

You’re a good man for helping with the moves. We made mention of it during the drivers meeting.

We just missed you is all. I think the first group and left market basket and we were shooting the breeze. We were talking about how the group was small because of COVID and what not but also had to include helping people move as another factor. Made me think of the Seinfeld episode. i asked a new friend to help me move at one point

Yup lots of fun..my dad was a bus driver for a bit (never the trains), he was telling me the year they had all the issue with snow on the tracks would have been as easy as running the damn trains every hour overnight..but that would be too simple I guess.

That definitely would be cool to se up close. I don't think the T is so much inefficient, just perhaps hasn't evolved with the times in some ways..plus with as generous as they were (pretty sure still are) with the retirement benefit they're dishing out a fortune for people to NOT work

Nice nice. We took down the greenhouse this weekend and have the indoor tent running for several weeks now for the winter.

You grow some hay? We've all done it, and I still do sometimes.

I dry for about 2 weeks, then trim, jar and burp. You want your temps around 60 and your RH around 60 as well during the dry phase, basements are great for that usually. It can take a few weeks to get it smelling right and the grassy smell to air out. The issue is if you over-dry it, or dry it too fast it can have that hay smell. You can bring it back if it isn't too dry, but sometimes you just have hay. Shouldn't hurt the quality, just the smell and maybe taste a little.

Doing a good cure is one of the biggest issues people have, and while I'm getting better at it, I still have issues every once and a while.

Quality is huge , no doubt, but aesthetics is key. Adds to the enjoyment. Are you talking relative humidity?

    Yes, RH=relative humidity.

Bag appeal is good for sellers and it certainly goes along way mentally, I like to have stuff that smells and tastes nice too if possible though. Strength is important as well, if its not gonna do much its wasting my time.

Morning, Peoplefaces. Here's to yet another screwy weather day in November

Should work fine. It might even be over-sized for what you're doing; I have the 16 quart version of that same canner and it's plenty big. But I don't really use it for cooking, so if you plan on using it for that as well then maybe bigger is better.
